Another day, another win... Is this guy unstoppable? He makes the game of golf look so easy, yet we all make it look hard…I think.
With a comfortable three shot win in the FedEx St. Jude Invitational, Brooks picks up another impressive win.
What can we learn from him and how can we use it to help our golf game?
En route to his unflappable 65 did you notice how cool, calm and collected he was?! The occasion never seems to be too big for Koepka. His routine is rock solid and along with his technique being very good this guy is the real deal. They reckon that golf is 95% upstairs, so this week when practicing on the driving range concentrate on routine, play each shot as if it’s a shot on the golf course. Test yourself and put yourself under pressure. |

In other news... Professional William Davies played against Ladies European Tour Players Lydia Hall and Amy Walsh. By all accounts, it was an enthralling encounter as William Davies sealed the victory with playing partner Craig Quinell by hitting a 4 iron to less than two feet on the 17th hole at a local course to win 2&1. The good news is, he still has it does Wayward Willy! |
Joke of the Week Drowning your sorrows After a particularly poor round, a golfer spotted a lake as he walked despondently up the 18th. He looked at his caddie and said, “I’ve played so badly all day, I think I’m going to drown myself in that lake." The caddie, quick as a flash, replied, “I’m not sure you could keep your head down that long.” On that note, we will see you at the range through the week.

1 gap, 2 gap, 3 gap, FORE! |
How confident are you hitting your long irons? The lack of forgiveness can lead to inconsistent strikes and less distance. This is when filling the gaps at the top end of your bag with utility irons or hybrids could be the smartest decision you ever make – but which is right for you? |
Titleist’s brand-new utility irons and hybrids are really special, and you’ll be able to get your hands on them through us in no time at all. Why do we like them so much? Well, they are seriously easy to hit and offer unbeatable performance, but there are some things you should know… |
U-500 and U-510 utility irons Quite simply, these offer more distance than a standard iron but less spin than a hybrid. Both come loaded with tungsten for incredible forgiveness, with the U-500 offering workability and precise distances whilst the U-510 boasts a high launch and increased carry from a larger head.
|
TS2 and TS3 hybrids It's time to stop thinking of these hybrids as rescue clubs and begin referring to them as scoring clubs. Both offer plenty of distance and an easy to hit nature, with the TS2 providing a higher launch from a wider head and the TS3 giving us more adjustability in an iron-like profile. |
|
So, which route should you go down? Hybrid or utility iron? Let’s give all four a go in a custom fitting session and find the one that offers you the best performance. |
