HydroKnit is the way forward
What is HydroKnit?
HydroKnit is a waterproof pullover from FootJoy...That’s right, pullover not a jacket. It has a 15,000mm waterproof rating. In English, this means you could pretty much throw anything at the HydroKnit and it would keep the water out and keep you warm at the same time. It’s a clever bit of clothing.
We now have these pullovers in-store and available to purchase. Come in and have a try, you won’t be disappointed.

They've done it again When a product has been the centre of a range for over a decade you know it must be pretty special, right? We certainly think so and it can be said of the Srixon AD333 golf ball, which is now into its ninth generation. How does it differ? Well, it feels amazingly soft, provides even more distance and imparts a lot of spin when around the green. It's definitely worth a go, even if we do say so ourselves. Tip of the Week Become a better putter
Putting is one area of your game you can become better instantly, with the ability to practice in your living room, workplace or even a hotel. All you need is a putter, a ball and a target. The golfer’s perception of putting is vital on what we are going to talk about next. So many golfers believe they should hole every putt from inside 6 foot? The Tour average is 65%. So, with your focus moving from holing every putt from inside 6 foot, what should you work on to improve your putting?
Step 1: Speed Here’s a really good drill. Get three or four balls and start at 10 feet. Drop each one two feet apart, putt the first one and gradually work your way back to 50 feet. Learn what it feels like to hit those different putts. Do this as opposed to dropping balls down in one spot and whacking one six feet past and the next one six feet short. If you’re really struggling, start at two feet and end at 20 feet.
Step 2: Direction Lead with the left hand. This is the direction hand, and it's just as important as the right. Practice putting left-hand-only to help improve your direction.
Step 3: Strike Check To groove a consistent putting stroke, built two gates using tees. Make the first gate just wider than the putter head, the second just wider than the ball and practise swinging the putter through the first gate to hit the ball through the second. Only with a pure strike will you achieve this.

A rider
Four old men went into the Pro Shop after playing 18 holes of golf. The pro asked, “Did you guys have a good day today?” The first old guy said, “Yes, I had three riders today.” The second old guy said, “I had the most riders ever. I had five.” The third old guy said,” I had seven riders, the same as last time.” The last old man said, “I beat my old record, I had 12 riders today.” After they went into the locker room, another golfer who heard the old guys talking about their game went to the pro and said, “I’ve been playing golf for a long time and thought I knew all the terminology of the game, but what is a rider?” The pro said, “A rider is when you hit the ball far enough to actually get in the golf cart and ride to it.”
