Next year’s Ryder Cup may be on American soil but there is a smattering of Europeans close to the summit of the World Rankings and in good form, as we head towards 2020. As well as our other regular features, we take a trip down memory lane this week as we explore how far driver technology has come in one of our articles.

Rahmbo runs riot...

To some back in his homeland, Jon Rahm is already the King of Spain and he cemented his status as Spain’s number one golfer with a five-shot victory in a home-grown top three lockout at the Open de Espana.

In the end, it proved quite comfortable for Rahm who converted his five-shot overnight lead into victory ahead of Cabrera-Bello (-17) and Del Val (-15).

Perhaps more importantly for Rahm, the win - his third of 2019 - puts him in pole position in the lucrative Race to Dubai standings, leapfrogging Open Champion Shane Lowry to top spot.

The victory also sees Rahm jump to fourth in the World Rankings, with three Europeans currently occupying three of the top five positions (Rory McIlroy second & Justin Rose fifth).

Good work, guys!

Get your range in

There may be fewer competitions down the club at this time of year, but that doesn’t mean you should hang the clubs up until spring. Winter provides the perfect opportunity to correct the wrongs and get your game in a better place ahead of 2020 when the season starts again.

Time for reflection

If you rewind to spring 2019, was your game rusty or were you firing on all cylinders straight away? 

It's often the case that golfers struggle for consistency at the start and it's only then that they come to us for lessons or to work on their game.

Why not try something different this year and have some lessons over the winter on your key weaknesses so that when the new season does come around, you're playing better than ever?
