Omega Ladies Masters

Lydia Hall is all set to jet off to Dubai for the Omega ladies Masters starting on Wednesday, 9 December. We wish her all the best and hope all our subscribers are routing for her awaited comeback.

Putting Green

Our putting green surface has now left the states and will be with us next week ready to be installed. Putting lessons and fittings will then be available to all for that magic wand!

Joke of the week

Welsh, English and Scots man get the opportunity to play with a beautiful Swedish ladies model. She has a 20 foot put on the last hole for the best round she's ever had. She turns to the three men and says in her seductive accent. "If one of you kind gentleman help me with this I will give you the best night of your life". 
The English man steps forward and says "it's slightly up hill and swings to the left". She hits the ball and it finishes just right of the hole. The Scotsman pushes the English man aside and says "it's slightly up hill and falls to the right". She hits the ball and it shaves the hole. The Welsh man struts forward picks the ball up and says "here we go love you heard of a gimme you can have that one"...

 

How to stop that dreaded slice!

Most people try to fix a slice by hitting the ball straight. You'd be better off hitting a really big draw or a hook and working your ball back to straight. If you try to take a slice and work it back to straight it's never going to get there.

Ideally, your clubhead should approach the ball on a path that's slightly inside of your target line. You may be guilty of over-rotating your shoulders from the top or stopping your rotation too early, causing your arms to fling across the line. Either way, the following drills will help you turn that slice-causing swipe into a powerful hit. Force yourself to swing inside-out by dropping your right foot back.

The Drill - Drop your right foot back 10 inches at address. Force yourself to swing along your toes (in-out) and then adopt that swing to your normal stance.

What It Does - It exaggerates an in-to-out path and aggressive measures are needed to break bad habits.
